I’m lazy. No really, I am.  People often find it shocking considering I exercise like a mad woman. But outside of exercise, I’m actually really, really, REALLY lazy.  I can think of several examples of my lazy ass nature:

1) When I go shopping I like to shop with friends who have more or less the same body type as me. This way, it means I often don’t have to try on clothes. I just make them try on the clothes or if I’m really lucky, they might already have the same item and I’ll just get the same size.

2) When I eat shrimp I sometimes just eat the whole thing. Skin, tail, all of it bc I’m too lazy to peel it. If it really gets in the way, I’ll spit out the tail later.  Sexy, I know. 

3) When I microwave something, I usually just put it in for 2:22 or 3:33 or 4:44. You get the idea. This way, I don’t have to move my finger to the other buttons. 

4) I stopped posting my food blogs bc I was too lazy to write down what I was eating. I figured I would just remember everything.  Guess what?  I’m not only lazy, I have really poor short term memory.

ANYWAY…I’ve cheated twice in the two weeks since I started Paleo.  That’s 200 burpees. BARF. Other than that, it’s been pretty smooth sailing. 

2 more weeks!!!  My friend and I are already planning our glory meal (August 11th).  I want a giant bowl on congee with XO sauce (my fellow Asians will know what I’m talking about). She’s thinking pizza and pasta (or both!). And we’re both thinking lots and lots of DESSERT.  Like PIE and CANDY and DONUTS. 


Can I just brag about how great my cf box and the coaches are?
Coach M designed a WOD specifically for me because I couldn’t do today’s WOD (pull ups) with my injured shoulder.
I only used a 6lb wall ball. I did use a 16kg kb but kb swings are all about the legs so I felt fine doing them. I finished in 30:12 (28 was the goal).
I think it’s great that Coach M took the time to design a WOD for me!
BTW: this WOD was hard!!!!
Oh…and Paleo day 5:
B: ground beef, veggies and eggs.
S: nuts
S: half banana
D: tuna and salmon sashimi, huge ass salad with crab

Browned ground beef with chopped peppers and onions. Add a few eggs and lots of Italian seasoning. Mix. Eat.  Go for organic ingredients if possible.
Oh…and Paleo day 3:

L: sashimi (tuna and salmon), salad with avocado
D: you’re looking at (also lunch the next day and the day after that…)

My blog should really be called I like donuts, not I like donuts when I’m not eating Paleo bc I’ve really only been doing the former and not the latter. Lucky for me tho, I still work out like a maniac and walk everywhere so I haven’t really felt too bad.

Having said that, however, it’s still been several MONTHS…. That’s right- months - since i’ve really been 95% Paleo (I can’t give up coffee with cream. I just can’t. Don’t even bother trying to get me to. It won’t happen. Ever).

Everyday I wake thinking: ok, today I will start! But I end up grabbing a muffin (ack!) for breakfast and it’s all downhill from there.

Today was different tho: I had a couple of (organic) eggs for breakfast. Then a handful of raw nuts as a snack. Then some veggies. Dinner was more veggies and some beef. Tada!! A 100% Paleo day and u know what? It was easy! I guess it’s like riding a bike? U never forget?

I’ve decided to start my own 30 day Paleo challenge - July 10 to August 10. So get ready for some boring ass food log posts and possibly some bitching about how much I miss sugar. And of course, donuts.

Anybody care to join me? I can make the challenge 31 days for myself so u guys can start tomorrow (so that’s July 11-August 11).

WOD:
Part A – 1 rep max Ground to Overhead —-> 85 lbs
Part B – 1.5 mile run for time ——> 11:29

RUN WAS PAINFUL. But I’m satisfied with my time. My time at the 1 mile mark was btw. 7-8 minutes. That’s the fastest I’ve ever run in my entire life.

Oh…week one of Paleo is done.  Pants feeling much better.

15 Box Jumps (24” Unbroken) - that’s right, benchmark for BOTH men and women at my CrossFit Box is 24” vs. 20”
20 Double Unders(Unbroken)
25 Sit-Ups
Rest 2 min between sets

Time:  15:09 (total time minus the 2 min rests)

I CANNOT string together 20 unbroken double unders. I think I made it to 18 once. By the last round I was so gassed that I only managed to do 1 or 2 double unders at a time.  Boo.

Oh..and it’s day 3 of my 2 month paleo challenge and my pants are still tight. Damnit.

Important thing #1:  I got a new PR today.  85lb bench press! That’s 10 more pounds than before!

Important thing #2:  Part of today’s WOD was max pull ups (as many as u can without letting go of the bar). I got THREE kips in a row.  Yes, 3 is a very small number but I kipped, didn’t I?  Wee!

Important thing #3:  I rowed 2k in 8:59. This is SLOW.  BUT my goal was to finish under 9 minutes and I JUST made it!

Important thing #4:  My 2 month paleo challenge started today.  THANK THE LORD.  Because my pants are tight.

While I’ve been really enjoying all the food, I am NOT enjoying the gut that is forming around my middle. Or the fact that my jeans are tight. It’s not pretty people.
